Intro til Ashtanga Yoga
Med oppstart 14.08, 12.09 (nb søndag), 09.10, 06.11, 04.12
Dette kurset består av en lørdagsklasse (unntak 12. sept) på to timer og fire ordinære nybegynnerklasser på timeplanen (man og ons kl 18.30-19.45, lør kl 16.00-17.30) de påfølgende fire ukene. Om du ønsker å bruke de fire gangene mer komprimert er dette også mulig. Introduksjon til Ashtanga Yoga gir deg en innføring i denne yogaformens grunnprinsipper: Pusteteknikk (ujaii pust), låser (bandha) og Vinyasaprinsippet. Du vil også få en innføring i solhilsen A og B og stående øvelser.

Friday evening:
Integrating Breath and Bandhas in Your Asana Practice
In this first session with Tim you will locate your locks and drop into your breath to free your practice. Guruji says: “the Ashtanga practice is a breathing exercise – the rest is just bending!”. You will establish yourself firmly in the foundations of breath with a clear physical understanding of the use of the bandhas/body locks. You will learn essential tools to deal with anxiety and stress, simple pranayama to help your body open, your mind to settle into one-pointed focus and to free your body. Experience how this ancient tradition holds many life lessons. All Levels.

Asana Foundation - The Standing Postures
By developing a conscious use of our legs during our standing poses we learn advantageous alignment principles that prevent pain and facilitate healthy movement. Through detailed analysis and fun partner work you will feel how your legs are your connection to your central shushumna channel in your pelvis and spine, by utilizing the ground below. In this workshop you will learn how this humble series of postures builds deep inner awareness and structural foundation for forward bends, back-bends, inversions and deep hip-opening work. Gain a new-found appreciation for this foundational work of yoga!

Flying Low - Five simple steps to jump through & jump back.
In this session you will learn how to apply strength to your practice. Understanding simple anatomical mechanics along with healthy pointers of alignment will allow you to take your practice to a new level in a fun and exciting way. You’ll leave this class with a refreshed perspective on your capacity, integrated jump through/back or clear steps to be doing it soon.

AN ACRO YOGA WEEKEND OF FUN

Fundamentals - the beginners mind
Friday 3rd September: 19.00-22.00
We will to explore the themes of trust, connection & playfullness through; yoga asana, partner stretching, assisted inversions, basic partner acrobatics, an intro to therapeutic flying & Thai massage. This workshop is aimed as an introduction to the practice of AcroYoga. No experience or no partner necessary, do come with an open mind & a willingness to have fun!
Therapeutics - devoted to healing
Saturday 4th September: 13.00 -16.00, 17.30-20.30
This will be an all day bodywork extravaganza. We will introduce you to the art of healing touch and work with “Metta” linving kindness – a real treat for our often over worked and tired bodies. You will practice the principles of mutual support, giving and receiving. We will introduce you to a blend of Thai massage sequences and therapeutic flying flows blended with massage. No experience or partner needed, but come with an open heart!
Acrobatics - embodying the physical form
Sunday 5th September: 13.00 -16.00, 17.30-20.30
A day to tap into your source of strength, flexibility and creative will. We will explore the qualities of being an acrobat beginning with conditioning & strength exercises followed by a strong vinyasa practice before working on the embodiment of inversions, headstand, forearm balance, and handstands. You will be working progressively in pairs and in small groups towards acrobatic balancing, involving a base, a flyer and spotter with focus on basic transitions. We require you have handstand practice against the wall and or a free-balancing headstand. No partner necessary but a willingness to explore your fearless inner child. To attend this event we require you to attend all day Saturday.
